The Great Tagline Contest!

Which one will you choose?

Vote for your favorite tagline for the blog–or suggest another, April 14-21, and be entered to win a $25 Amazon gift certificate!

1. A great deal of conversation and a liberality of ideas (Austen, Persuasion)
2. A Regency salon for readers and writers
3. The first Regency Romance Blog…and still the best
4. The original, riskiest, and forever the friskiest Regency Romance Blog

Send an e-mail to riskies@yahoo.com with TAGLINE in the subject line and in the body of the e-mail, please put your name, your favorite tagline, and, if you’re feeling inspired, your own suggestion. One entry per person, please.

At close of voting, April 21, the Riskies will put their heads together and come up with a winner, to be announced in May. Or possibly two winners … because we’ll have a random drawing from all entries; and if we choose your tagline, you’ll get a prize too.

Good luck and have fun!

About Elena Greene

Elena Greene grew up reading anything she could lay her hands on, including her mother's Georgette Heyer novels. She also enjoyed writing but decided to pursue a more practical career in software engineering. Fate intervened when she was sent on a three year international assignment to England, where she was inspired to start writing romances set in the Regency. Her books have won the National Readers' Choice Award, the Desert Rose Golden Quill and the Colorado Romance Writers' Award of Excellence. Her Super Regency, LADY DEARING'S MASQUERADE, won RT Book Club's award for Best Regency Romance of 2005 and made the Kindle Top 100 list in 2011. When not writing, Elena enjoys swimming, cooking, meditation, playing the piano, volunteer work and craft projects. She lives in upstate New York with her two daughters and more yarn, wire and beads than she would like to admit.

Yipes, RR friends. I am without (gasp)internet. I don’t know when it will be back. Am at the library at the moment, but with limited time here.
So I may be very quiet.

YOU ARE KIDDING ME!! Waaah! And today’s DWTS day. And without your input how will Ammanda and I talk about it? That means we’ll have to wait. And… Heh!

Hi ho! (Not to be confused with “heigh ho!”) I, too, have limited internet right now — I’m in a motel in the middle of somewhere, a somewhere not where I’m used to being. So Diane’s not the only one who may be a bit out of touch for a while!

Anyway, I got a chance to look in (nice pic!) and I noticed we had an extra “the” in the #4 option. So I took it out. πŸ™‚

I think I’m ineligible to vote. πŸ™ I’m also ineligible to discuss Dancing with the Straws! An odd concept for a show, if you ask me…

Susan — hello! Welcome to our blog!

We’re a blog created by six authors of Regency-set romance novels…and we talk about our books, about writing in general, about Regency history, about Jane Austen (and Georgette Heyer and Charlotte Bronte and many other authors), and other topics of interest to readers and writers of Regency-set fiction!

Thanks for joining us!

(P.S. to Todd — you may be ineligible for prizes, but you can still vote. πŸ™‚ )

Finally got my vote in and even made a suggestion of my own. I have been sick in bed for two days with a horrendous stomach virus. Thought I would have to get better to die! I missed you all. Worse, my computer is sick too and I am going to have to turn it over to the tender mercies of the Geek Squad before I go insane, kick the computer into the pasture or some combination thereof!!
