Former Riskies

Not Wicked Enough ARC Giveaway

I want to start this post off with a major WOOT to Risky Elena for her title Lady Dearing’s Masquerade making the Kindle Top 100 Indie Bestsellers for October 2011 (via EBook Friendly), There she is at #72! Congratulations, Elena!

If you’ve not picked up this book, perhaps you should.

Not Wicked Enough ARCS

I came home today to find that I have ARCs for my February 2012 Berkley Historical, Not Wicked Enough. Just as that cover isn’t quite the final cover, the ARC is not quite the final book. For example, chapters 31 and 32 should be swapped. If you win one, feel free to read chapter 32 before chapter 31 (and mentally add in some missing transition) And yet, I am giving away THREE (3) ARCS right here on the Risky Regencies.

When Lily Wellstone heads to the Bitterward Estate to comfort her widowed friend Eugenia, she certainly does not have romance in mind. In fact, the playful but level-headed Lily is amused to no end when, en route, a Gypsy gifts her with a beautiful medallion, claiming it will ensnare the romantic desires of a stranger.

But fate has other plans in the form of Eugenia’s ruggedly handsome brother, the Duke of Mountjoy. One day at Bitterward and Lily can’t deny the sizzling attraction between her and the roguish duke. Nothing can come of it, of course. She’s not looking for entanglements and he’s practically engaged. But whether it’s her outgoing nature and the duke’s outlandish ways sparking off one another; or the mysterious gypsy medallion working “magic,”—hearts are stirring in the most unexpected and wicked ways. . .

How to Possibly Win one of Three ARCS

  1. If you are one of the winners, you must agree to write a review of the book. An honest review. Please post your review either at at least one of the following: your own blog, Facebook, Goodreads or one of the bookselling sites such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble. If you don’t have a blog etc, then you can send me your review and I will post it at my blog.
  2. Leave a comment to this post in which you make some mention of the number three.

The Rules

Void Where prohibited. You must be over 18. No purchase necessary. Please post your comment by midnight Pacific November 11. Three winners will be chosen from the comments at random, probably not later than Sunday Nov 12. International is fine, unless there’s a law somewhere that it isn’t. I will post the winners to the Risky blog, so you’ll need to check back to see if you won.

There are three places I could place a review of Not Wicked Enough – I am on staff in two group blogs as well as my own.

That cover certainly packs a punch, and the story sounds very promising.

Three Wickedly Good Reasons For Winning:

1) Lifelong lover of historical fiction–forty plus years experience as a reader!

2) Extremely enthusiastic about all things books and book people. Love experiencing new reading adventures!

3) Online reviewer//blogger//commenter at multiple websites. I also “bookspeak” and spread the word among family, friends, coworkers, and anyone who will pause long enough to listen!

Congratulations to Elena! I bought LADY DEARING’S MASQUERADE but am planning to read it on an ereader, which I hope to get this Christmas.

Stunning, stunning cover for NOT WICKED ENOUGH. Three reasons why I want to read it:
A Duke of a hero
An Outgoing heroine
A mysterious Gypsy medallion

I would be happy to read and review your book. I’m an avid reader and frequently review the books I read on Goodreads. I can also post on Amazon. Thank you for the chance.

Thanks, Carolyn! Just the news I needed in an otherwise rough week.

Verification Word: turds!

There are at least three reason this book attracts me:
1- I love a level-headed heroine
2- Duke’s are powerful by birth, and I love it when they fall victim to love
3- the title ‘Not Wicked Enough’ promises a sensuous read.
I’ve posted several reviews on Goodreads & have even learned how to Tweet, so I’d love to read & review this book.

Three Symbolic reasons I should win an ARC:

1) Three is how time is broken down
(Past, Present, Future. The book is written in the past, I would like to receive this as a present and in the future I will write a review on amazon, goodreads and my blog)

2) Three is the symbol of magic
(Heroines/heroes are often given three tests or quests to achieve their goal in fairy tales, third time’s a charm)

3) If you say something three times its extra lucky! I hope to win Not Wicked Enough. I hope to win Not Wicked Enough. I hope to win Not Wicked Enough.

There are 3 words in your book title of Not Wicked Enough. I would absolutely love reading and reviewing your book. It looks and sounds delicious. I might even have to read it 3 times. I have been expecting some books to come, and I checked the mail box 3 times today.

Three words to describe a romance book: happily ever after.

I could post the review on Barnes and Noble or attempt to submit a guest review at some of the other well-known romance blogs.

This is the third time I’ve entered a giveaway for the arc! Fingers crossed that “third time’s the charm”. 🙂

If I win, I will post a review, as I review every book I read, on my blog and over at Goodreads. If you want, I can also review for ARRA which is the Australian Romance Readers Association, as I review for them also.

Best for the new release Carolyn – I’m looking forward to reading it.

Wow, what a gorgeous cover!

And HUGE congrats to Elena, though I am not surprised. It really is a wonderful book! (Turds, really? That is the outside of enough!)

And should I win one of the ARCs I promise to post my review on at least THREE major review sites and to “pimp that book like Huggy Bear!” That phrase alone tells you my age.

I love a romance that drops in on a heroine where she least expects it!

This is my number three entry to hopefully win one of your three arcs with the gorgeous cover and fascinating sounding story 🙂 I will review on at least three sites, my blog, Goodreads, and Amazon. Thanks~
