I just finished watching this. I won’t go into details ’cause I don’t want to spoil anyone, but it was… interesting. Very different in its style. The clothes were very pretty, though, and to my untrained eye very good.
Lady Jane: I have Comcast cable, too. How do you sign up for the free “BBC on Demand” channel? I missed “Robin Hood,” and would dearly like to watch “Beau” and “Hood.” Thanks!
In the meantime, Diane, please do, do dish about it in your weekly blog.

I turned it on eagerly, but after one hour, I changed the channel to watch “The Sopranos.” Sadly, “Beau Brummell” bored me. It was “eye candy”, true, for those of us who love the Regency fashions, especially for men. But beyond that … bleh.
Keira, If you have the Digital Cable Box, you probably get it (unless it is just in this area).
Push the button for “On Demand,” or go to Menu and then On Demand. You should see “TV Entertainment” (it is the 2nd category for me). Hit “Ok” and it should take you to a list of channels (like TNT, TBS, etc.). I have to scroll down a bit until I come to BBC America. Then, click on that and then go to Robin Hood.
I hope you are able to watch it! I just looked and the lastest Robin Hood is up, but no Beau Brummell. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions! TheLadyJane@gmail.com
Thanks much for your detailed explanation, Lady Jane, but we don’t have a digital box. We tried to get it installed alongside the other complicated electronics we have, but three teams of folks from Comcast couldn’t figure it out. It looks like we’re doomed here, because more and more programming is going to go digital. So we’ll have to come up with a solution soon. Thanks again!
You’re welcome, Keira! I’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to get the digital box installed. Hopefully they will come up with something that works for you! And, hopefully, we will get Robin Hood on dvd soon. 🙂
I thought of this site when I caught the commercial for this earlier in the day. It looks to be very good.
Oh, I wish I got BBC America! I do get free BBC On Demand from Comcast, so hopefully it will be on there, like Robin Hood is. 🙂
