Prepare blog for eHarlequin, Romance Readers at Heart, Romance Vagabonds, Word Wenches (and maybe more!)
3. Write Update information for website (write Behind The Book, Newsletter, new Contest, News, etc.)
4. Read for Critique Group Wednesday (est. 150 pages)
5. Complete second set of revisions for Soldiers Trilogy Book One
6. Begin judging Royal Ascot contest
7. Check eHarlequin eBooks to see if The Unlacing of Miss Leigh is still Number One.
8. Order a carton of The Diamonds of Welbourne Manor
9. Send out promotional material as promised.
10. Write 50 pages of Soldiers Trilogy Book Two.

Started on my Royal Ascot packet last night. Looks like a great year!
The Royal Ascot is actually a little low on my list, because I can put it off easier than the other things. But I like to judge, so I’m eager to get at it!
Yikes. I want to go back to bed now. Good luck getting everything done!
I just want to get through the week. I had last week off for my school’s spring break. We went on vacation where I lazed around and read 5 books by a swimming pool in 90 degree weather. It’s rotten to come home to reality. But I hope to begin serious revisions on a book I just sold to Berkley Heat, and still write a bit on current wip, if I can keep things straight in my addled brain. 🙂
I’m tired just looking at your list!
And I hope you get it all done, especially the pages on the Soldiers’ Trilogy! The faster you write it the faster I get to read it!
My List ?
1) Send queries out to all the agents on my list for The Raven’s Heart.
2) Put the finishing touches on The Raven’s Heart.
3) Jump on my current WIP and get some pages done before my CP gets back from Ireland a week from today and asks me “How much did you get done?” EEEEK! She is SO MEAN!
4) Make sure my crew at work has all of the cupcakes and cakes done for the Mother’s Day display.
5) Buy a copy of Australia on DVD for my Mom for Mother’s Day.
6) Search for more scholarship / financial aid for my nephew and get the paperwork done.
7) Bathe all the house dogs. (Shhh, don’t tell them!)
8) Get ready for the four day vacation starting Saturday that I took just because I needed the rest!
Sleep in, Diane, today’s your day to sleep in.
My list has blog posts, catching up on correspondence, bills, volunteering at school for teacher’s week, post office, usual household stuff, self-teaching some designing software, designing gifts, writing, and reading.
LOL! Your list looks a lot like mine (and BTW, thanks so much for reminding me of the RA, Deb! One more thing to do…)
I am soooo happy the Undones are continuing to do so well! (the debut stories last fall also all went to number one!) They are the perfect length for a lunchtime reading break, and so much fun.
And mega congrats on the sale, Maggie!!!

I have rehearsal this week, learning my lines, critiquing some partials from cps, working on my book, petting the cats…

What is a shelf talker?
Whew! At first, I thought it was a do TODAY list. Now, wouldn’t that be scary? There is work to do, and desperately trying to do better at it after inadvertently letting my quality slip. Reading, to break up my work, which helps improve the quality (oddly enough). Desert Rose RWA chapter meeting, on Tuesday, always revitalizes me. I would have given up writing long ago without it. Then the end of this week is the beginning of a new month (how did that happen so fast) and bills are due. yippee skippee.
Hang in there, Diane, I know you can do it.
As for me, most writing activities are still on hold, but I still plan to blog on Wednesday. I miss you all!

Judy, one thing I learned in graduate school was that I could allow quality to slip. Nothing was different if I got Bs instead of As. (I do fear a slip in quality in my writing though–but not in the clutter of my house)
M, a shelf talker is a cardboard thing that hangs on a bookstore bookshelf and promotes the book that it hangs underneath. The publisher pays for them. (another thing I should do is check in my Walmart to see if they are getting Harlequin Historicals again. They weren’t last I looked.)

Sounds like an underwear brand. 🙂 I never considered that the price would be a factor (though they ARE a good deal!). Just that the length makes for a good thing to read at lunchtime…
Yep, I agree that Bs are usually as good as As, and I try to not let the perfectionist in me have control of my life. Unfortunately, letting my quality slip in my work means I was on the receiving end of a verbal warning. Spelling counts. Being stressed out is not conducive to writing.

Our weather is a bit less than ideal, Megan. The temps are in the 90s and everything outside is covered with a film of yellow pollen.
But the dogwoods and the azaleas are blooming and that makes up for everything. This is Virginia at its most beautiful
Crazy list, Diane, but sounds very typical of a release week!
On mine:
~Finish read-thru of others’ novellas and submit to Harlequin (this is for the Bespelling Jane anthology, or whatever they’re going to call it).
~Work on WIP.
~Work up outline for novella.
~Vacuum (I bought a new vacuum cleaner and for the first time in years I’m getting the stairs clean).
~Do work work (I took today off and daughter and I had a girly day shopping and getting pedicures).
~Do rest of laundry and finish winter to summer clothes transition.
~I too have to judge the Royal Ascot, a contest I have a great fondness for since I sold as a result of winning the non-trad Regency category in 2004.
And that’s about it.
I’ll be happy if I can sleep more than I am. . . I’ll just take that one. Anything else, icing and all that stuff. 🙂

Janet, I love the girly shopping day. Yesterday we took a ride to see my son’s new (rented) house which seemed like a frivolous thing given the To Do List (but very worth it). I didn’t even think of adding household chores!!! Yipes.
