What a week. And it’s only Wednesday. I just want this post to be a big sigh of relief as well as sorrow.
To my fellow Riskies who were in the path of hurricane Sandy, I am SO glad you’re OK.
I want to cry when I think of the lives lost while I thank goodness for the First Responders, who put their lives on the line, and for all the people who worked in the background before, during, after, and in the days ahead.
I’ve donated to the Red Cross relief effort and will surely do so again in the coming days and weeks. We’re only just beginning to get a handle on what it will take to recover.

I’ve emailed you!
I have another lame post today because, well, it is my birthday and I am full of cake right now and it’s past my bedtime. So here is a picture of Jasmine:
Hopefully things will ease up a bit in the coming week. Wish me luck.
The day job, people. The day job.
It’s impinging on my life in ways that are not fun.
Add to this the fact that on Friday my son moves into the dorms at COLLEGE and you can count me as ::flails:::
My baby is going to COLLEGE. We’re going down Thursday evening, I’ll cry or try not to cry all day Friday. Then come home without the boy Saturday morning. Aghhh!!!!
I’m scattered and feeling like I should go watch the last Stewarts and Colberts of his pre-college life with him. Because, wahhhhh!!!
Yes, he is aware I am not dealing well with this.
And that’s my post for this Wednesday.
College. Wow. He was 8lbs 10oz when he was born and now he’s going to college.
